Customs Clearance in Armenia (EAEU Single Customs Space)
Since Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), import duties are regulated under the EAEU Common Customs Tariff (CCT) and the State Revenue Committee Customs Service:
- Free Trade with EAEU Member States: Goods originating from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan enter Armenia with 0% customs duties and no border customs barriers (only domestic VAT declarations).
- Third-Country EAEU Import Tariffs: Imports from non-EAEU nations (EU, US, China, UAE, Iran) are subject to EAEU Common Customs Tariffs, generally ranging between 0.0% and 15.0% ad valorem on CIF customs valuation.
- Import VAT: 20.0% levied on CIF customs value plus customs duty.
- Customs Formalities Service Fee: Standard entry documentation and inspection charge ranges between 3,500 AMD and 30,000 AMD.
Statutory Regulatory Framework: Compliant with the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia, Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, Cadastre Committee statutory duties, and regulatory resolutions issued by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and PSRC.
