- VIC: $0 duty up to $600,000; sliding concession up to $750,000.
- QLD: $0 duty up to $700,000 (increased in June 2024); concession to $800,000.
- WA: $0 duty up to $450,000; concessional rate up to $600,000.
🌏 Foreign Purchaser Duty Surcharge
Non-citizens and non-permanent residents who purchase residential real estate are subject to an additional state duty surcharge:
- NSW: 8% surcharge on property value.
- VIC: 8% surcharge.
- QLD: 8% (increased from 7% in 2024).
- WA & SA: 7% surcharge.
