MTEPS Finiquito Regulations in Bolivia
Under the Ley General del Trabajo and Decreto Supremo N° 28699:
Indemnizacion (D.S. 110)
Workers who complete more than 90 continuous days of service earn the right to one full month of salary per year of service (Indemnizacion por Tiempo de Servicios), including in cases of voluntary resignation. Proportional duodecimas are computed for incomplete months and days.
The 15-Day Rule & 30% Penalty
Employers are legally required to disburse the final Finiquito payment within 15 calendar days following termination. Under Article 9 of D.S. 28699, failure to pay triggers an automatic 30% surcharge fine on the total liquidation balance plus UFV currency maintenance adjustments.
