Overtime Entitlements Under Eswatini Labour Law
The normal maximum working hours for adult employees in commercial and industrial undertakings is 45 hours per week. Any work carried out beyond standard daily hours must be compensated at not less than one and a half times (1.5×) the employee's regular hourly wage rate.
Work performed on Sundays or gazetted public holidays entitles the worker to double their ordinary basic wage rate (2.0×), unless compensated with an agreed alternative paid rest day in accordance with sectoral collective bargaining agreements.
