How does the Government Reimbursement Scheme (RMLPS) work for weeks 11 to 14? ▼

The employer pays the full 14 weeks of MLP to the employee on the normal pay day. The employer can then apply to the Labour Department's Reimbursement of Maternity Leave Pay Scheme (RMLPS) to claim back 100% of the statutory maternity leave pay paid for the additional 4 weeks (weeks 11 to 14), subject to a statutory cap of HK$80,000 per employee.

What is the statutory paternity leave entitlement for fathers in Hong Kong? ▼

Eligible male employees under a continuous contract are entitled to 5 days of statutory paternity leave, payable at four-fifths (80%) of their Average Daily Wages (ADW), which can be taken consecutively or separately within the period from 4 weeks before the expected delivery date up to 14 weeks after the birth.
