Frequently Asked Statutory Questions
What is CSOK Plusz in Hungary?
CSOK Plusz is a state-subsidized preferential housing loan program introduced by Government Decree 518/2023. (XI. 30.), offering a fixed 3% interest rate for married couples committing to have children.
What are the maximum loan amounts under CSOK Plusz?
Statutory loan limits: up to 15,000,000 HUF for 1 child; up to 30,000,000 HUF for 2 children; and up to 50,000,000 HUF for 3 or more children.
How does principal debt forgiveness (tőkeelengedes) work?
Upon the birth of the second committed child, the state pays off 10,000,000 HUF of the outstanding principal balance. Upon the birth of each subsequent child (3rd, 4th, etc.), another 10,000,000 HUF is forgiven from the mortgage principal!
What is the first-year repayment grace period?
During the first 12 months of the loan, the borrowers only pay the 3% interest without principal amortization, keeping the initial monthly cost extremely low.
