Residential Electricity Tariffs in Montenegro (EPCG & REGAGEN)
Electricity supply in Montenegro is distributed by Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) and regulated by the Regulatory Agency for Energy (REGAGEN):
- Two-Tariff Household Metering:
- Higher Daytime Tariff (Viša tarifa - VT): Standard peak hours (07:00–23:00) at approx. €0.115 per kWh (all-inclusive of energy, network, and renewable charges).
- Lower Nighttime Tariff (Niža tarifa - NT): Off-peak hours (23:00–07:00) and Sundays at approx. €0.058 per kWh (50% cheaper).
- Fixed Monthly Customer Engagement Charge: Fixed metering point fee of approx. €2.50 to €3.50 per month.
- Value Added Tax (PDV): Standard 21.0% levied on the subtotal bill.
Statutory Regulatory Framework: Compliant with the Law on Personal Income Tax (Evropa Sad), Law on Corporate Profit Tax, Labor Law of Montenegro, and regulatory decrees issued by the Revenue and Customs Administration (UPC) and REGAGEN.
