Residential Electricity Tariffs in North Macedonia (EVN Home & RKE)
Electricity supply for households in North Macedonia is distributed by EVN Home and regulated by the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission (RKE / РКЕ):
- Four-Block Stepped Day Tariffs (Expensive Energy):
- Block 1 (up to 210 kWh/month): Subsidized baseline tier (~4.80 MKD/kWh net).
- Block 2 (211 to 630 kWh/month): Standard household tier (~5.86 MKD/kWh net).
- Block 3 (631 to 1050 kWh/month): Higher consumption tier (~7.74 MKD/kWh net).
- Block 4 (above 1050 kWh/month): High consumption tier (~18.23 MKD/kWh net).
- Cheap Night Tariff (Ниска тарифа): Flat rate across all consumption hours between 22:00 and 07:00 and Sundays (~3.32 MKD/kWh net).
- Value Added Tax (ДДВ): 18.0% standard VAT.
Statutory Regulatory Framework: Compliant with the Law on Personal Income Tax, Law on Profit Tax, Law on Labor Relations, and official decrees issued by the Public Revenue Office (UJP / УЈП), RKE, and Customs Administration of North Macedonia.
