What Earnings are Liable for EPF/ETF?

Withdrawal Grounds for EPF & ETF

  1. Age Retirement: Men upon reaching 55 years; Women upon reaching 50 years (or 55 under modern SOEA equal age amendments).
  2. Marriage (Women): Female employees within 3 months of marriage or cessation of employment due to marriage.
  3. Permanent Emigration: Leaving Sri Lanka permanently with permanent residency / citizenship abroad.
  4. Permanent Disability: Medically certified inability to work.
  5. ETF Benefit Claims: ETF member funds can be claimed once every 5 years even during active employment if changing employers, plus medical/surgical financial assistance and life insurance.
