Saint Vincent Corporate Tax Legislation
Under the Income Tax Act (Cap. 435) administered by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, resident companies are taxed on their worldwide assessable profits, while non-resident corporations are taxed on income accrued or derived from within Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Corporate Tax Rates & Incentive Regimes
- Standard Corporate Tax Rate: 28% on taxable net corporate profits.
- Fiscal Incentives for Manufacturers: Approved manufacturing and export enterprises benefit from a preferential 15% CIT rate under government concession frameworks.
- Small Business Relief: Qualifying micro and small enterprises certified under local development acts enjoy reduced corporate taxation ranging from 15% to 20%.
- Loss Carry-Forward: Unrelieved trading losses may be carried forward for up to 5 consecutive tax years. The deductible amount in any single tax year is capped at 50% of the assessable profit for that period.
Quarterly Advance Payments & Penalties
Every active corporation is legally required to make four quarterly advance tax installments due on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. The annual return and final balancing settlement are due by March 31 of the subsequent calendar year. Late filing incurs a statutory penalty of 5% plus 1% interest per month on outstanding arrears.
