Saint Vincent and the Grenadines offers one of the world's most pristine sailing archipelagos. International vessels arriving by sea must report directly to an official Port of Entry before anchoring or dropping crew ashore.
Statutory Customs & Marine Charges
- Cruising Permit: Required for all foreign-flagged pleasure craft. Private yachts pay EC$ 35 per month (or EC$ 2.00 per foot/month for licensed commercial charter yachts).
- Immigration Clearance: Assessed at EC$ 35.00 per passenger and crew member upon entry. Overtime fees apply for clearances conducted after 16:00, on weekends, or on public holidays.
- Tobago Cays Marine Park (TCMP): A world-famous wildlife reserve. All visitors must purchase park passes at EC$ 10 per person/day. Anchoring in designated seagrass zones is strictly prohibited, with maintained eco-friendly moorings available at EC$ 67.50 (USD $25) per night.
- Mustique Island Moorings: Administered by the Mustique Company at Britannia Bay. Anchoring is prohibited to preserve marine flora; all visiting yachts must take a designated mooring buoy (3-day pass starting at USD $250).
