FIFA 21 has set in motion the Team of the Year event. This is an annual program that selects the best 11 footballers from the previous year. The players that are part of the TotY are selected by FIFA 21 officials and the community. The people behind the game choose the footballers who had great performances in the last 12 months. Players are then invited to cast their votes. This is the players’ opportunity to have their say in selecting this team. The voting has started. If you want to make your voice heard, all you need to do is to head to the official FIFA 21 website and choose your favorite footballers. The voting ends on January 18th so you have enough time to vote. The results are announced towards the end of January. The 11 players that will be part of TotY will have some special cards to commemorate this achievement. These will be some of the highest-rated cards in the game. Each card will represent the player’s performance. Let’s see who are the footballers for which you can vote.
We have four categories: goalkeepers, midfielders, defenders, and attackers. In the first category, we have some of the world’s best goalkeepers such as Alisson from Liverpool, Keylor Navas from Paris Saint-Germain, Ederson from Manchester City, and Thibaut Courtois from Real Madrid. In total, there are seven goalkeepers. Which one do you think it’s worthy to be part of FIFA 21 Team of the Year? In the midfielder category, we have 19 footballers. This list includes well-known names such as Thiago from Liverpool, Robin Gosens from Atalanta, Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City, Kimmich from Bayern Munchen, Heung-Min Son from Tottenham Hotspur, and Luis Alberto from Lazio. The defender category features 18 names. Virgil Van Dijk from Liverpool, Jesus Navas from Sevilla FC, Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid, Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund, and Thiago Silva from Chelsea are some of the Team of the Year 2021 contenders. The attacker category is the largest. Twenty-six players have been singled out. Here, we have amazing footballers such as Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus (Piemonte Calcio in the game), Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munchen, Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Suarez from Atletico de Madrid, Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, Romelu Lukaku from Inter, Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, and Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.
